#254096 got her to go a 12.86 @ 109 with a 1.93 60' tonight :D

really thinking about rebuilding my LS tranny.. shifting into 5th at the 1000' is definitely slowing me down.. :???:

i think if i had more 4th gear, i could get it to go low low 12's @ 110+

#254116 Get a 4.4 FD. That'll both improve your already awesome 60ft and your final ET due to the shorter gearing. Also, you'd do well with a Wavetrac LSD. Better than a Quaife because it was built by the guys who used to fix the Quaife warranty claims.

#254196 12.86 1/4! Nice.

Your making me want to put a 16g on my Delsol. If your GSR Tranny gears are too short then my b16 gears will be way too short. I kinda think they are Running N/A.

Good stuff juice, I like your thread.

my tranny is definitely meant for a high revving motor.. which mine doesn't. worked awesome NA, but now they're just too short

#254285 I meant put a 4.4 FD in the LS tranny. I had completely forgotten that you have a GSR tranny in the car right now. Of course, you can't put a GSR 4.4 FD on an LS diff, but I know for a fact that the B16A diff is identical to the LS diff. Meaning you can get a B16A FD and slap it on the LS diff. You would need to get the countershaft from the B16A transmission in order for that to work out properly, but that's not a big deal. Just have a Helm's manual by your side the whole time the transmission is torn apart.

The longer gears of the LS will allow you to be in the power band longer, and reach a higher end speed at the top of the gear, but it might cause your 60ft time to go up a little.

#254678 my 60's will be fine. i'm getting 1.9x's leaving pretty easy

current setup: 4th gear @ 7200 rpm = 99.92 mph

confident that with the LS tranny being able to run 4th out to 119, it should do some 110+ traps pretty easily.

the GSR w/ the 4.7 final makes it almost identical to the B16.. so ya, same boat

still had too much pressure in them in those vids. lowered the pressure and got it to hook better. those passes were 2.1X 60's and with the lower pressure it was doin 1.9X's...

#255169 no vids.. just time slips :P

beat the WS6 with a 12.92 to his 13.37 couldn't hear my car cause his was so loud

and beat the Evo with a 12.94 to his 13.09

my slow pass on the night was a 13.28 against a stock 1.8t audi TT that could only muster a 15.88
