Hi guys, was hoping someone on here would be able to help me before I pull all my hair out or burn my car to the ground.
I recently did a JDM B18c sir-g obd2a conversion into my EG and it failed its MOT on exhaust emissions failed both on CO and HC, but the guy wouldn't give me a print out, he just said it failed a lot and that he would not know where to start. So I had a read of this amazing post by suspendedhatch

I picked up a fuel pressure gauge so I could test my FPR and when running normally pressure is about 46-47psi which according to the work shop manual is about right if a little towards the lean side and my O2 sensor is brand new.
I also checked my base timing using the method in the work shop manual, also changed the timing belt and tensioner whilst I was at it, I have also picked up a new distributor cap, rotor, new leads, plugs and fuel filter, but have not got them fitted yet, as what is on right now seems okay and I was kinda hoping it was going to be one of the things stated earlier since it failed so bad apparently. But with out having a gas analyser I have no real idea if it has got any better.
Also with the limited driving I have done with it, it doesn't feel as if it is pulling like it should which I would guess is related to why it failed emissions, it also still seems to idle a little to high about 1600 cold and 1100 warm but this is going of a standard cluster tacho, I have also cleaned and tightened up my FITV, IACV and checked for vacuum leaks.
The cat I'm using does rattle a bit so guessing it is starting to break up, but I'm sure it would pass with out a cat if the engine was running right as the engine is a 96 on obd2 which is when emission rules jumped a lot, but over here my car still gets tested as a 94 on lesser emission, so thought it would have passed easily.
Finally the only thing left that I could think it would be which I assume most of you will also say it is, is I'm running a chipped p72, as I was not able to get hold of a standard p72, I was told it was tuned for standard internals but don't really have anyway of proving that, the only other ECU I have that I could try on it is a p73 but I don't know if that will be any better.
There are also no codes being thrown by the ECU.
Any other ideas on what it could be? or how I will be able to fix it? would be greatly appreciated.
Dave.

well after all that it failed again but only on CO at fast idle this time, If it wasn't running so sweet now, I think I would be giving up on it.
