Hi guys I've just done a b18c transplant in to my eg and its running yet the idle fluctuates between 1250 to 2000 rpm. I have done a search here and googled for people with similar problems and have checked the following.
IACV is clean
TPS sensor is working
coolant system as no air in it.
also checked for vacuum leaks by spraying some engine degreaser around the gaskets on the inlet manifold.
The ECU is only throwing one code CEL 20 (ELD) which I have not got to the bottom of either could this have an effect on the idle causing this sort of issue?
Also my ECU is p73 for an ITR but as I have just found out that my b18c is not out an ITR its either a GSR or SiR-G which I believe run on a p72 ECU. I realise this ECU will probably make my engine run crap but would this also cause this sort of idling issue?
Is there anything else i should check?
Cheers for the help in advance,
Dave

, seems it was the FITV, the white plunger bit was a bit lose but more importantly one of the coolant pipes going into it was clogged up so got it all clean out reset the ECU and now it seems to sit a about 1050rpm on warm idle which still seems a little high but a lot better. Will probably get my mates tacho off him though to get a more accurate reading of what it is doing.
