Swapped in the new OBD1 interior loom the other day, had to get right at the firewall meaning all the pedals and heater matrix etc had to go! Took a while but wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be
Put the new loom in along with the new p28 ecu and it actually works! Need to add in some more wires to the loom for various things and remove parts of it too so nowhere near finished yet
Also got the exhaust off eventually, its a mess - couldn't separate the sections so just dropped it off in one go
Just got to get the bitchpin out the gear linkage and it'll be bye bye crappy engine

Changing looms looks so damn confusing, wires everywhere. When I get a knot in a string, I cut it. Reason you'll never catch me doing shit like this.
Hats off to you sir.
I see you're repping a Halfords battery
Now you have an excuse to get a JDM cat, Spoon B pipe and N1

Haha thanks mang, the green is definetaly staying
Might aswell update this again!! Been working away quite alot recently, the engine bay was a complete mess
Started working on the slam panel a couple weeks ago, ground every bit of rust off it and primed it with red oxide primer, hopefully that will keep it rust-free for a while!!
Then last week or 2 weeks ago, cant remember, i got the engine out at last - just dropped it on the floor and pulled it out under the car
Since then been working loads grinding away every bit of rust - there was so much, getting there though so will post more photos once its all in primer

Very nice project keep up the good work
And dropping the engine through the bottom was something I was going to suggest when reading but heck you beat me to the punch.
Goodluck with the swap
