- Tue May 27, 2008 3:18 pm #56736 i recently put a vti steering wheel in my usdm coupe and it has no airbag. i am going to eventually get rid of the passenger airbag too and i need to know how , if possible, can i get rid of my srs light on the dash. any help is a bonus.

remove the center console and you'll find it way back there by the firewall. You might try just unplugging it first if it's too hard to remove. Mine was easy while I had the dash & heatercore out.

- Tue May 27, 2008 6:25 pm #56757 if you remove your gauge cluster there is a yellow plug. If you unplugg it, it will no longer light up.

You can then remove the entire srs brain out from the center console like brian said.


ABS is a different unit and that control unit is actually in the rear quarter panel area.
