- Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:19 pm #320038 I've got egay headers and they work amazing. One reccomendation as I've gone through it. Put lock tight on the bolts what connect the Top 4 pipes to the bottom 2 pipes... Those bolts WILL fall out its only a matter of time. And when they do, itll blow your gasket open. goodluck finding a gasket for the ebay header (YOU CANT) So i had to make my own and silcone it and stuff. just make sure they are tight with lock tight and youll never have a problem.

yeah i didn't have any problems out of them so far but i did have a little operator error lol we were trying to get things to line up so we loosened up the bolts connected to the cat and then had a heck of a time bolting up the muffler (we unhooked the muffler and the exhaust hangers and pulled the whole pipe to make it easy) but yeah so got that back bolted up and forgot to retighten the cat so had a open down pipe basically but went and fixed that like yesterday so eh its all good now and the color is coming out nice, oh yeah i bought some high temp engine enamel too to paint my VC maybe next weekend when i'm doing the valve job and oil change and spark plugs and stuff.

- Wed Nov 28, 2012 5:41 am #321065 alright so we did the spark plugs and the oil change and a new filter and even tweaked the idle screw some and retarded the dizzy a tad which enhanced idle strength that was all good till i pulled out #4's plug wire while it was running and... no change in idle, and with it still getting spark and having JUST replaced the plug i knew it was no fuel so i went and picked up a replacement injector the next day and installed it there in the advance auto parking lot, finally getting power from all 4 cylinders now but found out yesterday never tightened my dizzy back down( had a sporadic tach and didn't know why) fixed that and all is well... except that while sitting at idle not moving not in gear no clutch nothing=fine, mash the brake=idle dives to around 400 rpm?!!?? i don't get it only thing i can think is IACV or vacuum leak, any ideas??

on a side(slightly more depressing) note, my brother (who is 16) and my mother and her husband and i went to look at a 93 hatch for him today, its lowered on tokico blues with sk2 springs and has a JDM d15y8 vtec with a full HEI, SI seats short throw shifter racing steering wheel blah blah blah... i looked for two years for a hatch and could never find one under 3000 now he's getting this for 1800 and he doesn't even have a license i bought my first car after i had been moved out of my mothers house for almost three years at the age of 20... lifes a beach. (imma try and trade him)

- Thu Nov 29, 2012 4:50 am #321125 he tried to do a burnout tonight in it(which shouldn't be hard to do, i did it yesterday) and it caught real hard and jerked to a stop and stalled then when he cranked it back up he only had 2nd gear the rest wouldn't go in( grinding) i'm thinking clutch.

so we were talking and he's thinking of painting it baby blue and putting a big wing on the back,(it already has a duckbill), which disappointed me alot he knows i hate that crap but i raised him on "the fast and the furious" and "need for speed" so it's kinda my fault.

hopefully i can just do a straight trade and that'll be that, he was talking about raising the suspension up or just trading me for my stock units and i was just like dude just trade me my car is all stock but for a header and the hatch is already done, mines a clean slate to have fun with and explore, lol he sounded more into a trade after that so we'll see.

- Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:30 am #322319 so today in the process of going and hanging with all the local honda dudes at one of their houses to weld up an exhaust for his new ls turbo setup i attempted to put on my freebie super short ram k&n intake, then i realized it wasn't going to fit so i was like ah forget it but my buddy was there and was just like hey man you got a couple bucks i think we have an intake in the shop, boom ten bucks later i'm rolling with a legit Injen cold air intake, these are the days man. to bad the world ends this weekend or i would have some fun with it lol
