Will my D15 transmission be ok on D16 vtec

- Fri Oct 05, 2007 7:09 pm #25402 Whats up guys, i need to know if there is a problem with running my d16 vtec engine i got of a delsol with a transmission from a non vtec d15b8 i have running in my hatch now? what are the pros and cons? thanks :thumb:

- Fri Oct 05, 2007 7:24 pm #25403 d15b8 is the 8 valve cx motor. those engines come with trannys that have really long gear ratios.

cons: slowest acceleration of the manual trannys. Si/Ex is best. Then Dx/Lx, then Cx. (not sure where the vx measures up)

- Sun Oct 07, 2007 1:26 pm #25597 I just called this guy he has an si tranny with 10k on it he's askin for 100 bucks, im gonna pick it up tomorrow , is there something else i should look for to verify it is a si tranny other than the stamp p20 b0000
