If you dont live in a place where the winters have snow then you should just get some lowering sprinngs, skunk2's have worked for me

Yeah im hoping to get some skunk 2 lowering springs too! I agree jerko coilovers are TOO expensive! I like your car man, the black looks WAAAYYY better than the red inserts! I have 17's too but for some reason yours look way bigger! Maybe its kuz yours are black and they blend in with the tyres? kuz i have 205 40s too

You don't think skunk 2 will be too much of a drop for 17" rims? I thought they would be...so i've been looking at tein s tech's which are less of a drop. But if you all think skunk 2's will work...I would rather go the skunk route. Heres a link for skunks on ebay.

Both our cars sit really high up, from the people i talk to you get coilovers to go LOWER than springs. Like i said on another post Kinta94 on here might sell me his Skunk2s because he wants to hit the floor. So hes going with some coilovers lol. I saw his car and he was almost rubbing tire, but his tires were huge! Im sure it will be perfect on 17s. If anybody could back me up that would be good. I also have the ex lip, which brings me down a tad bit. So watch that too.

But I like it. Personally I don't like the rims, an I think having it with some black Rota Slipstreams'd look hella-sexy, but that's me

Also, I think your wheels look massive because your ride is so high! You thought about Coilover springs? You could get a coilover spring set, an some shocks for whatever £150 odd is in $$$.

It'd look mean lowered though! [Black inserts're better btw]

Also, what're your eventual plans for your car then? gonna boost/Bswap/kswap/just use it?

I'm thinking of the Tein S techs but recently I'm interested in the skunk 2's. My eventual plans for my car are a front lip and springs..very soon..within the next month. Within the next year I think a B swap would be tits up. I would love to boost, but I've heard you need to lose the A/C due to room space. I live near PHX, Az and its HOT AS HELL in the summer. I NEED a/c. LOL. It's my DD so I don't want to do too much to it. Thanks for the comments and honesty by the way. I appreciate it. If anyone knows if skunk 2's would be too much of a drop or not for 17's with 205/40's, please let me know. Thanks.

If you get just simple Coilover springs, you can adjust your ride hight to what you want, meaning if it is too low, you can simply raise it a bit. You could make it so you're very low, but my worry with super-low is, as you say, Daily driving. [Speed bumps're a bitch]. It'd still make it look bad-ass, even with a little drop.

Also an idea - If you really want to turbo it, you could probably re-locate half your things [Battery etc] to make room to maybe move your aircon or something? I'm not entirely sure how it all works, but I've seen a turbo coupe, and I think he still had air con anyway!

Aren't 17's & 15's close to the same height? If you put your 195/50 next to my 205/40...they're pretty close...right? So in reallity...skunk2's should work...right?

My personal favorite lip is the Wings West lip, and also the Spoon lip. They're both like you described as well, with small vents on either side. I would link pictures but you can find both on google images I think.

I checked out the lips your talking about..they look nice..but too pricey for me. I don't want to go super low...just some simple skunk2's is all I need. They should fit right? As for boosting..well...we'll see in at least a year for that.

Yeah I was going to say that, technically speaking they are the same height. For every inch you go higher your tire profile gets lower. At least thats how its supposed to be. So yeah, dont worry unless you got a big ass tire. But dude dont trip the springs will tell you how low they drop you, just look for people with the same springs and you will see for yourself how yours will look. Do some math lol. Also just as a warning with lowering springs you cant adjust, so yeah you cant bring your ride up higher if you dont like it and you cant make it lower. Thats one big con
