#128616 i'm sure this is some noob mistake on my part, but my car won't boost past 7 lbs. as soon as it hits 7 the car feels like i'm hitting a brick wall. i was trying to up the boost to 8lbs. but it wont get there. right now i'm running 6.5lbs. and the car runs great. any advise on what the problem is? thanks

#129150 thanks for the responses guys. i don't think its boost leak or the wg because when i say its like hitting a brick wall i mean that literally. i'll be at wot and then as soon as it hits 7lbs. the whole car starts jumping and jerking violently. i've been looking online and it sounds like a boost cut feature to me, but the only problem is that i've only had this car for about a month and a half so i don't know everything about it. its a 95 civic coupe w/ a b16 swap, t3, manual boost controller, hks turbo timer, vafc2, and i just found out it has a phearable.net sticker on the ecu. so i'm wondering if its chipped and the boost cut is on the chip? what do you guys think

#129182 no, he said it was when i bought it. he said " it made 308hp at the wheels w/ 8lbs. of boost" but he has no dyno sheets, they were "lost". and he was also looking at the cheap boost gauge run to a vacuum line un the intake that says its running 10lbs. now but according to the vafc2 it was only making 4.5. i know i need to get it tuned, just waiting on a little more cash flow. have a wife and kid you know and the misses doesn't see dyno as important as i do. she just sees that the car runs good so whats the point to her.

Yeah, it's definitely a fuel/tuning issue, I would get that resolved asap, and try not to get into boost too much until you do :(

ya 308hp and has no dyno. i dont think i would lose my sheets if i had a car running that much hp. i would want proof. and a b16 with turbo and no other upgrades?! and if yourcar needs a tune/dyno to run right why is it a problem. if your car had alingment issues but runs fine do you just say it runs fine whats the point? lol but i would get it tuned properly. just gonna cause some more problems down the road..
