#181542 I would have to lean towards the y8 intake.

#181579 They say the z6 flows more at the top end, the y8 flows better in mid range & lower rpm.
There's also people who say that the y8 IM is prone to running lean in cyl #3.

#181588 You may trade a little more top end for a more mid range power, but most likely it won't even be enough of a difference to feel.

Only reason I have mine is because it came with the y8 head and it flowed a lot better than the D15b7 IM.

#181593 Yeah might try it, i got a y8 mani sitting around. if i dont like it ill just slap the z6 back on.
What about running ZC pistons in a z6 block. what kinda power gains am i looking at and what kinda work also?

#183288 I was wondering if a D16Z6 head is the same steps as the Y8 head for the mini-me setup? It will be going on a 95 D15B7 and the Z6 wil be 92-95 Si.

#183981 Hi!
Excuse my English, I'm looking for a message for a whole year! you do MINI-ME with Automatic Transmission? how you set up your fuel cards and point of V-TEC? All dealers who sell (hondata, xenocron, moates) say that "setting ECU AT impossible"! you really help me out if you tell me about setting. you changed the point of shifting gear?

I EJ9 (6 GEN) 4AT, like MINI-mE D16Z6, but do not know how to behave ECU with AT, and how to configure (or rather - what instrument: hondata, crome, ectune), I thought of Piggy Back, apexi v -afc, but all say that it is bad.

#184013 Very simple, you do not need a chipped ecu with hondata, crome, ectune or apexi v -afc, etc...

All you need is an ECU from a car that has a d16z6 engine and auto transmission.

This is the P28 ECU. In US, the Civic EX equipped with automatic transmission uses this ECU.

The automatic P28 ecu will run the mini-me build very well :thumb:

#184018 TRUTH??? you know that I am right now for the last 2 months - smiled))
but what about fuel cards, point of VTEC, compression and oter .... just install? olug and play ))))?

You advise to take the P28 OBD1 1995, or P2P CIVIC EX OBD2B 1999 (it was my AT gear, but it have immobilazer)?

If so all is well then I'll do it soon!! HURRAY!

#184501 this is a great write up has helped me a lot besides a few things
heres what I have a b7 block i a z6 head and a y8 intake manifold

my questions are what head bolts should i use i know what to use for the y8 but is the z6 all just z6 bolts or will i need some b7 head bolts

also do i use the y8 manifold thing i circled or one off the b7 because its an obd1 ?

and if i use the b7 one i have to trim the green casting that i circled because when i try to screw it in it does not fit correctly

Image

sorry if these are noob questions but what is the thing i circled?

#184544 RED - IACV/
if u swap only Intake Manifold, u can close IACV (metall sheet), becose on your TB usees RACV.
but if u swap HEAD V-TEK u must use IACV too.
