- Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:11 am #265890 The rattle still persists. I cant quite pinpoint it. Im thinking it has to do with the Timing Belt Tensioner. The spring or something like that. It only makes itself known just above idle up to about 2k. Getting a new Belt and tensioner just because either way.

Ive had it running now for a while and have had time to check the MPG the car gets based on driving styles.

Seeing that the car has a B16a tranny and it has stupid short gears, Im at 3500 rpm at 60. If I keep it there or under I can get 37 mpg.

Though if I have fun and drive the car, Ill get like 20...

I think the huge variance is due to the overwhelming fuel smell I get after starting the car and at times at idle at lights. Thinking the seals for the injectors are bad. Gonna replace them as well.
