Post YOUR Hatchback here

#273644 I had a 1997 Honda Prelude, and that cluster looks IDENTICAL. Am I right? prelude? But that doesn't seem that rare to me. I frickin LOVE the look of it though man. Jealous. Post a DIY or something, cause I think I'm gonna do it.

#273929 Not sure what you mean by plug and play? Its not like an s2k cluster or anything where you need special converters or anything, But I did cut the entire EH cluster wiring harness and re-soldered it to the BB6 cluster's Pig tails. Took me 3 tries to get it right, 5 Different diagrams, and a little lucky guess work. No idea on the hours but i'd say somewhere between 5-10 for wiring, but only because I had to decipher all the other diagrams and match everything up, take it out and put it back in, check if its working, Organize wire clutter, ect... With the correct diagram and diy though I don't think it'd be any harder then any other cluster swap. Fitting the cluster in the dash is a whole another beast...I had to trim the actual bb6 cluster housing to get it to center and it actually sits in there so tight I didn't have to screw it down...Its literally secured in the dashe's housing by pure tension. It also sits closer to you then the stock cluster specially with all the wires behind it, Its a very very tight fit, BUT its rather perfect fit as nothing gets cut off when centered correctly, and when I finally put the acrylic cover it'll fit with no gaps at all. The BB6 cluster is a little bit thicker? then the EG cluster, And the plugs run along the top, So it hits the back of the dashe's cluster area before it sits all the way in. As for the bezel, that was a lot of hand work and that plastic is some nasty stuff I can still taste it in my flem every now and then...I used 3 EG bezels before I figured out how I wanted it to sit, Turns out the EG bezels shape is pretty much a perfect flow with the BB6 cluster's when cut correctly, But you have to sort of squeeze and stretch it to get it to shape it perfectly (bb6 is a tad bit taller in the middle) otherwise something will get slightly cut off. I want another BB6 bezel so I can re-cut the EG bezel perfectly, cuz this ones already glued. I also made mine so that the bezel can be taken off the cluster and they're not one piece in case I do ever get another bezel to work with. I may just separate this one and have another try it after I figure out what to do about the paint.

#274027 Sure I don't see why not. I don't have great memory though and I was in a hurry so somethings may be a little fuzzy or misconstrued. I was gonna do a DIY but seeing as how I mostly just followed the Tegra cluster in EG one I didn't see much reason to, Other then a wiring diagram.

#274042 Yea I'm gonna keep it OEM, but have a slight pearl/flake under certain light. I wonder what camellia red pearl would look like on a hatchie.
