#227100 Update: replaced the main fuel relay...no luck. The engine rotates but doesnt start. I checked the spark plugs, wires, dist cap all looks good. no cracks or anything unusual. Next I will be replacing the fuel filter and go from there. Hopefully that will do the trick.

#227169 check for spark

take a plug wire out and stick a screw driver inside the plug wire
and then hold it near a bolt thats grounded which is anybolt and then have someone else crank the car, you will see the spark if this dizzy is good, but no spark means something in the dizzy is bad

#227220 Befire you replace the fuel pump pull the fuel line off the fuel filter and prime to see if spits fuel if it spits fuel its prob not your fuel pump. Another thing to consider if plugs and wires are good it the ignition coil. Never know cap and rotor could be bad..always something simple but always hard to pin point what it is on a honda.

#227314 have you checked your fuel pump fuse and all your other fuses? theres not a lot else that could cause this kind of problem other than pointed out above. If you have an american battery with the terminals on the back side of the battery (towards the firewall) your positive can sometimes arc against the firewall on bumps etc, and it could have popped a fuse or damaged something else. Wouldnt do it with the car stopped. This would cause your symtoms.

Just throwing it out there since the common problems have already been given. Good luck.

Remember prime it to see if the fuel pump engages since your already going to have the ff off. sometimes its hard to hear the fuel pump kick on from under the seat. atleast then youll know for sure your getting fuel or not...might have a short in the wire where fuel pump plugs into harness. my eg coupe did that to me and I couldnt fgure out what the hell was wrong untill i spliced the wires and hook it up to my battery to make sure the pump was working and it turned out the somwhere in the harness the wire was bad so i ran the fuel pump to a toggle switch. Worked like a champ.

#227439 UPDATE: Well finally figured out what was wrong! I took apart the dizzy and found grey dust all over the inside. The screw that holds the rotor in place was gone! Made a quick trip to autozone and got a new rotor, dist cap & fuel filter also the screw for the rotor which unfortunately was not the right one. After some thorough cleaning of my dizzy I found the screw buried next to the icm and coil. It was still salvageable. I put everything back together and.....vrrrooom!! shes alive again!! :woot: :woot: SOOO glad it was something minor!

#229066 thanks for the comment dbrooks.

Well on another note, i freaken broke down again last night on my way home in the stinkin rain. My ac idler pulley seized up and actually fell off while i was driving. Went to autozone and bought a new pulley but the bolt that holds it in place is gone so I need to go to the junk yard or hardware store and buy a new one. Thank the Lord Jesus for triple A! Got towed 50 + miles home.
