#131516 Ok so cars on the road finally took it for its first shake down today and boy was it worth it yea it leaking coolant still slowly from the intake manifold, and there seems to be a oil leak near the camshaft seal....but really i would of expected worse with me doing it but heck came out well...its not completely done still a bit of work to be done but its now drivable and im driving it may just get rid of the skunk 2 intake since its too darn close to the back and i can hear it hit here and there on the back firewall....but ill figure it out i mean power after i hit 3k it goes well fast but anything less than 3k it tends to struggle a bit....well picture time y'all

#132296 Ugh freaking update i guess

Went to get it inspected first i had to explain to them that its 95 on down you can pass a car with a check engine light because obd1 and stuff arent they suppose to know that.

Well besides that it failed anyhow and now i gotta sell some stuff like my skunk 2 intake and do some work here and there on others cars....

Problems,
Horn dosent work jsut gonna run a wire to it now and ground it somewhere thanks to me taking out the airbag system i lost teh ability to use teh stock setup....

inner tie rod is supposevly bad....

upper control arm was supposevly loose so they said it was bad so im just gonna get another one from teh junk yard or something

and apparently i have a tail light out when i checked all my lights and they where fine ohhh well

Time to selll shit and get it done again ugh i need this car done to get a job

#132299 damn, they are strict- almost as bad as Cali it sounds.
In Ohio if you live in an emissions check county, they look under your car for cats and do a tailpipe test for OBD1, scan the ECU for OBD2. They don't care about lights, suspension... I took my hatch in with completely gutted interior and they were like wow! They didn't even pop the hood :)

You're getting there, keep up the good work :thumb:

#133422 welp alil update i guess

So upon failing my inspection I put up my skunk 2 intake because it pissed me off sold it on craigslist to a old friend who also bought a noname header i once had.....and now im using that money to make it possible for me to fix my car....

So far the horn problem has been fixed as well as i installed the correct intake manifold from a z6 and my engine is alot happier for some reason. I mean it sounds better plus its not leaking coolant lol.

Brakes have yet to be fixed the front gsr seem to keep locking right up on me when the car heated up havent tried it with the new intake on yet but when i hit the brake a couple of times i can pump up the rpms to about 1500 or more hopefully thats not a problem with anything major im gonna bleend the brakes when i get a chance to so hopefully that fixes that.

And finally getting my tools rounded up heading to the junk yard tomarrow morning to hopefully score some good stuffs and of coarse maybe get some things to get my car inspected most likley i will grab the inner and outer tierod as a whole so hopefully my wheels stay straight....

#136995 Ok so a quick updateings due to my motor having shitty rings (thank you very much jerk who said they where fine and the motor had low miles.....i got jipped by a guy here im just too damn trusting) but yea the d15b2 had bad rings so most likely im gonna take everything apart and possibly drop in a cx motor yea i know its gonna be horribly slow but for right now im just concerned with having a car that dosent consume as much money in oil as it dose gas every week.....so im going back to almost how my car was stock.....ohhh welll at least once i get a job i will have a car that will get good gas mileage and can save up to get something good.....

Come back today and everythings where i left it even i found a tool i left there lol...so in total i spent 250$ smakaroonies for what i have pictured still gotta go back when i have some more cash and grab the axels which are brand new and the shift linkage.
also to mention the mileage on the speedo had 67k on the clock and the insides look that way....
