Yep, Im going to be getting my 3rd B series motor. One I have owned before and sold to a friend, that wanted to build it. His car just got stolen and no longer has a need for it. So Im getting it back for less then he paid for it and will be rebuilding it using the pistons from my B18c1, which are USDM ITR slugs. The short block is a 93 B17a1. Once I pick it up, i will get some pics of it. Im going for just a nice peppy daily motor that is fun and reliable. 10.5:1 compression and some nice cams if that. Depends on what head I get.
Any suggestions on what to do?

if i was you i wouldnt build that b17 motor cuz that motor is pretty rare and hard to come by, i got the p61 comp from b17a1 on my b16a2 and almost everyone i talk to hasnt seen or heard of it. but if dat block is ur only option then u should bore for itr pistons and put a longer stroke crank in it to gain sum nice power, den maybe sum cam shit

The B17A is renowned for it's rod/stroke ratio so it would be a shame to waste that. Do a N/A high RPM build!

Im not changing the bore or the stroke of the motor. Its an 81x81.40 and it will stay that way. I have some USDM ITR pistons I can throw into it to raise the CR to 10.5:1, but I dont think that will be enough for some cams.
Id really like to know some good cam choices for 10.5:1 motor. seeing that I already have those pistons.

I worship crower.
You should check their site. They can even regrind one for your own specs to suite what is it the you really want to do with the motor.
