#69362 hey guys i finally got my b16 swap done! :woot: i have the timing exactly dead on for sure took me an hour of do, redo, do, redo to get it right but i got it completly right. the thing idles awsome but if you give hard throttle it just boggs and dies. if you give barley any throttle at all it will slowly rev up to 1500rpm then cut out bogg sputter type deal. my car is throwing a check engine light, so im wondering if maybe my TPS went out or what? any ideas.
also its obd1 p28 ecu

#69366 Make sure you didnt swap the TPS and MAP sensor wires. After that check to see what code it is throwing. That will tell you where to start.

#69467 k so i swaped the sensors and redid the distributor timing which was way off. now the car idles good and rev to 2k then sputters then revs awesome till redline. but when i put it in drive and move from 1to3k the car feels like the e-brake is on then past 3k it pulls great. my v-tec doesnt pop iehter but thats cause my speedo doesnt work :( so i my gues is that even after spending all day on the timing its still off???? whats you take

#69485 3 possibilities I can think of from the top of my head

Timing
TPS sensor (A faulty TPS sensor can cause stumbling [where the car will feel loss of power])
Oil Pressure.

Do you have an engine light showing? If so what are the CEL codes?

#69704 k i got the car to rev because i had the tps and the map sensors switched. but now it sputters all the way from idle to about 3000rpm then revs fine. and the one time i drove around the street it wont cruise at a constant speed, it will cut out. yes i do have a check engine light but i have no way of pulling codes....im trying to find an obd1 reader
