Has anyone ever swapped an automatic ls motor into an automatic civic eg hatch? I know that manual cars are pretty easy to do but what about the automatic cars that want to do a swap? Has anyone ever done this or know a link to the steps and parts needed? Any info would help. Thanks...

you must do a automatic to manual conversion first. and then swap.

Why? if he wants to stay automatic i would believe he would just have to do the swap as per normal

are you going to stay automatic? if you are should be the same. just make sure you use the right ECU. if you are going to convert to manual, you will need a lot:

5-speed tranny
clutch
flywheel and it's bolts
5-speed starter
front tranny mount
top auto-manual conversion mount for tranny
slave cylinder
clutch line from slave to master cylinder
master cylinder
clutch pedal assembly
manual gas pedal assembly(optional:could just swap the brake pedal and arm)
shift linkage and shifter
manual ECU or convert the auto ECU there are write ups on this all over the web
some wiring needs to be done

i am not sure about the rear mount bracket, that is, if going from auto sohc to manual sohc. if i missed anything please add to this. thanks

if you stay automatic then its just dropping it straight in.... just using the integra stuff (94+) axles trans and what ever that all uses just like it in a manual setup you know motor trans/axles/mounts just the same if you are doing automatic

was he going from D to B? because he would have to use B series mounts i think the only mount that would work form the D is the Driver side mount?... i think or the tranny mount...

yeah he was going from a d to a b but the he had a b rear mount, but it turned out to be for a manual, he said as long as you have a auto rear mount you should be alright

Manual > Automatic

well that's just obvious  but he mentioned he wanted to keep it as an automatic. so i figured maybe it was cause of medical reasons he can't drive manual...

... IMO real men can drive stick when they come out of the womb
