Tansmission Questions

I have a hydro LS trans with 3rd and 4th gear issues, I also have a hydro b16 trans with a cracked case, my question is can the b16 gears go into the LS case with no problems? i have searched around and have never found a definate answer. any help will be greatly appreciated

To answer your question though, Yes you can move all the gears from the Hydro B16 transmission and put them in a Hydro LS Transmission casing.

If you do freeway driving you might wanna swap out B16 5th for LS 5th.

Be aware that the "Shims" in your trans main shaft are "Case" specific.

Keeping the same shims may be fine. Check a good Helms transmission manual to see how to spec them out. I have never done it myself.
I would just compare the shims on the main shaft between the two as you disassemble the trans' to see if they are different. Be aware some transmissions do not even have/need shims.
