1: build my ls block, put the built ls head on and just pc all my parts together.
2: sell all my parts and get a gsr engine.complet swap

- Wed Nov 05, 2008 9:54 pm #77370 ya i been talking to some machine shops and some of the stores about the lsvtec. they all say its great engine if done right but wont last much past 5 years befor things start fing up. but why put a b16 head on when i have a fully built head. the head will breath just as good just no vtec. well should i just put the head on the block slap it in and sport it??? the motor only has bout 80k miles on it.then ill have a nice b in the car and later down the road do somthing else. yay or nay on just put it together and drive or wait 2 mormonths just to have pistons and bearings in. it is a good block no problems. just dont wanna f it up with the head on it...

- Thu Nov 06, 2008 12:52 am #77380 man i know. damn i just want it done. so much to to so little money...i just cant stand my lil d15. plus i got the full engine and a built head its all there just need to make my mind up. i dont wanna wait. i just found i have collections on my credit and i ow 1000 bucks.as soon as my head is above water i take a breath and i fall right back in. so know if i go threw with the build i have to wait 2 months just to do anything. so my car is a a hault and has to stay in primer and it needs tires. wtf.

- Thu Nov 06, 2008 2:02 am #77390 You can always put the head on it after checking the bearings and making sure everything is good. Then just replace things as you can. You need to make sure the water pump and oil pump are working before you start driving it.

- Thu Nov 06, 2008 5:16 pm #77482 ya i know its not that bad just frustrating. i know it wont go as planed. ya i was planing on getting tires next week. but i cant till after x-mas. no funds know its all gone. there no fully bald just yet. got bout 30% left.just got bad camber in the rear.but i dont want to go of topic to far. went from engine talk to tire.lol. so we shall see if my tires will make it at least another month.
