Dont quote me on this, but I have lots of friends that tell me this was the pro-type B18C5 motor. This was over 7 years ago when I heard this, but no one really cares about them now as much. They are still missing oil squiters and they torque is slightly higher than a B16A, but if you truely want to build a B16A than I would try to get one of these cranks and rods. My friend is making 201 WHP with the help of the B17 crank, rods and Forged 12.5 pistons with a Endyne head. Good numbers from a B16A

The B17 has the best r/s ratio of any B series motor. So if you wanted to build a N/A and rev it to 12000 RPM, this would be your starting point.
Before people figured out how to do LS/VTECs properly the B17 had the most potential of any Honda engine.
I personally would take the B17 over a B18C, an H, a CRV/VTEC, or a K. I'd get a hydraulic tranny, a reasonably light flywheel, a balanced crank, and rev it all day long. But if I were to come into some money and decided to build a fast EG (nothing below 500hp even gets my attention anymore), I'd just place an order at Endyn. His suppliers build them from scratch.
