- Sat Jun 27, 2009 9:49 pm #126386 Hooray! I finally dropped something other than a z6 in my car! this'll be my 6th swap on the eg chassis. Iv'e killed the honda hop before but unfortunatley i think im gonna have to admit defeat on this one
I was hoping to make a thread of everything it could be this is what Iv'e done so far.

cleaned the iacv and the fitv
swapped the egr,tps, and map
checked for tb and intake mani gasket leaks
triple checked vacuum and coolant line routes
timed it by ear as i cant whip out the timing light on a loping idle
adjusted the lil' screw on the tb
replaced the fuel filter
double checked the spark plugs
and I've been trouble shooting this whole time with no short ram so its not my air filter either.

The erratic idling only happens at operating temperature

If any honda gurus out there can think of anything else please, lemme know im dying here

- Sun Jun 28, 2009 6:54 pm #126491 It's usually bubbles in the coolant or the FITV needs to be adjusted. Don't forget to properly reset the ECU after every attempted repair.

How did you swap the TPS? Did you recalibrate it properly? Where did you get a new gasket? Honda doesn't even consider this a replaceable part. You're supposed to get a whole new throttle body.

oh and I swapped tps's by swapping throttle bodies i had an extra intake mani for this swap

- Sun Aug 02, 2009 6:30 pm #134936 im up and running 100% man its nice to drive again... sorry i took so long to respond but i finally got to the bottom of the problem(s) first off the iacv is an epic honda fail swapped my obd1 tb for a obd2 one
wich lacks the iacv that killed most of the erratic idling however most of my issues were resolved when i pinched the vacuum hose running to my canister the phatty one one right in the middle of the intake mani turns out my canister had a hole in it causing a massive vac leak
