Engine setup will be as follows

d16y7 block
d16y7 rods
PG6 pistons
Delta 272 cam
Bisimoto adj cam gear
d16y7 head
Z6 manifold
Ebay 4-2-1 header
d16y8 head gasket(2 layer)
ARP head studs

This will get me ~12:1 compression ratio, i plan on chipping my stock ecu, and running a modified base map for high compression and 93 octane

Is this a good setup? would it be fine with an automatic?

Are you trying to gain power bro? Sorry but I don't see you gaining much power if any with that set up. Specially N/A on a b7.

I will gain ~50hp if tuned correctly. I forgot to add i will also have a delta 272 cam and an adj cam gear in the setup as well. All in all i dont expect more than ~150whp out of this car. i just want something that is fun to drive and still gets good gas mileage.

if you want to do some good cheap B7 upgrades put a A6 cam from a 88-91 crx/civic si and you have to use the Y7 cam gear.

Both are parts you can find at a junkyard cheap

Well you didn't mention cams on the first post.
That sounds a bit more promissing then.

I have updated my first post with a "better" setup. I still need to know the answer to my questions.
