Adding a Muffler resonator

Guys, I recently got an Ebay fart can. It sounded nasty. So I added a small resonator I found somewhere. It did dampen the noise a bit. But still it starts to sound tinny after revving above 3k. So am planing to replace the resonator with a proper one.

I was gonna buy a 2" Aero turbine resonator, but it was out of stock. So I found this resonator, it's called Silverline, a 2.25" x 12" one. My exhaust piping is 2". So If I add this resonator, would it hurt performance, coz it's 2.25"?

:)

extra work, you'll need 2" to 2.25" adapters or depending on the inner dia of the 2.25" and outer dia of the 2" you may be able to get by w/o them.

well, if it's not gonna make me loose anything except sound, then it's cool :D

ya, it would be a difficult welding job, anyway I hope this would dampen the farting noise :hehe:

if anyone is familiar with 2.4 cavaliers and their rasp. I conviced my buddy to add a cheap ol cherry bomb and it cleared right up.

low and throaty :thumb: > high and raspy

Update:

Resonator dint make much of a difference, dampened the bass a bit, but did add an aggressive note, so i have got used to it lol :)
