well like the topic says. it does this from 1000rpm to about 1500 1600. i changed the timing belt, tensioner, water pump and front main oil seal. now it did this prior to replacing the items but it was more rough and the timing belt was flapping and hitting the cover. and when i pulled the old water pump off it was all warped. anyways, it runs smoother now. but it is still jumping from 1000 to about 1500. i'm thinkin there might be a vacuum leak somewhere or the tps is fucked. anyone know how to test the tps? or if anyone has any ideas as to what it might be lemme know. thanxs

It could be your fitv like above.... and it could be your IacV ... I took both mine off and cleaned them.... i had a REAlly bad idle... lot of hunting.. idled high... so I cleaned the iacv and fitv ... After I was done and i put everything bad together... my idle is steady at 700... SOMETIMES its stays steady at 1000 rps... but 90 percent of the time my idle is normal... I used simple green and throttle body cleaner to clean the fitv and iacv.

Yep, mine would hunt from 1000 to 2000 rpm when i was at idle. Did this fix and adjusted the idle, no more worries

I gotta do this... cause mine goes from 1000 to 1600, and with a Greddy EVO2, it gets annoying at night
