just did my y8 swap!
Posted: Sat Jun 07, 2008 4:01 amok as the title states i just did my y8 swap with a b16 TB and now i have a coolant leak somewhere behind the manifold but under neath, near where it mounts up on the block, any help? thanks!!

Posted: Sat Jun 07, 2008 5:12 amthe holes on the intake mani I just used a plastic/rubber cap that fit snug. you can probably find them at lowes/home depot.
I can't see them blowing off unless you're using forced induction

There's a way to adjust the cable behind the pedal under the dash. You can take out the extra slack.

yeah too much slack in the cable... had the same problem when I put my y8 IM on my D15b7 back in the day. Custom bracket (or re-bent stock) and adjusting the pedal worked. You can also adjust the cable a little more at the bracket.

high idle can be the TB is not completely closing... may need to adjust the cable to give a little slack. Unless it is a revving high idle, then it could be a vacuum leak or air bubble in coolant
