Ok so after driving my car for awhile like a granny pretty much i thought it was time to give it some gas....a little at first then a bit more well now im looking behind me and when i really hit the gas i blow smoke out the back and now im burning a bit o oil im guessing the oil is mainly from that of either hitting vtec, which works here and there.....or due to me needing a slight valve adjustment there is some small ticks so im pretty sure its one of those two things but not completely sure.....

Or maybe valve seals. I didn't think a bad valve adjustment could burn oil :?

what color smoke is it? if it is black smoke.... you have been driving like a granny and carbon builds up, you stomp on the gas and you expel out all of the build up over the time you had been driving slow.

if it's blue or white then that's another story.... valve lash would be more of an annoyance that you would hear i think

Yea for teh first 200-300 miles i drove nicely for me that is lol but yea it is black smoke as far as i can tell it happens here and there so it probaly is carbon buildup just expelling i definately gotta get a different header tho that cx is probaly killing me as well....

it works very well. help keep good compresion, lubs up them o'l bearings and just seems to help the car run very tite.

blue = oil and usually comes from wearing oil rings and/or valve stems/seals on compression braking...

white = anit-freeze (coolant) and usually has to do with your head gasket or some other malfunction with coolant getting into the cylinders
just try not to mistake it for steam on cold mornings, it has a sweeter smell to it

black = carbon, usually just loaded up, i don't know if it is bad or not during times..

hope it helps, others feel free to chime in :thumb:
