still need to rewire or get a new connector to fit the solenoid. any know a part number/if any plug (off of vtec) will work from junkyard?

There's plenty of threads about wiring VTEC. It's the same whether it's for a B16, B18, D16, etc. There are two pins on the ECU. One is for oil pressure at the solenoid, that needs to see ground. The other controls VTEC by grounding that wire. Join them together and run that wire to one of the wires on the solenoid plug. The other isn't necessary.
Then i need to know which wire goes to which pin on the ecu.
