- Sat Aug 30, 2008 4:50 pm #67744 Ive lowered the car but not by that much, but the driveshaft keeps popping out and i dont know why ? Is there meant to be a washer on the driveshaft ?

Any ideas would be helpfull

- Sat Aug 30, 2008 4:55 pm #67746 no washer but check to see if the clip is on the end of the shaft. and that its popped in teh trans all the way. only two things i can think of

1980 volvo 242
2001 crv

And is it the actual shaft coming out or the C.V joint as well?

- Mon Sep 01, 2008 2:41 pm #67933 You need to knock the cup thing the driveshaft goes into back in towards the gearbox, tap it with a hammer and block off wood - it clicks into place

Exactly what graham said you need to make sure you get it knocked in all the way that it will look like the inner CV joint is about to touch the gearbox casing. and you shouldnt be able to pull it out by hand immediately
