Well I was going to get the car cosmetically done before I started on the engine, and had plans to put a b18 or b20 in the car with a b16 head. While doing some hunting I came across a clean, low mileage D17A2 for $500, and that comes with everything I need for the swap, minus the ECU...maybe, I'll have to check.
I did some searching, and I mostly just see people bashing the engine. So is it not a good engine? It has 57 more hp and 37 higher in torque, and only a little higher than what it'd cost to replace a newer D15B8 that I was thinking about doing while I'm still traveling up to 1,000 miles in one day for work just because of the gas mileage.
Let me know guys. $500 isn't a huge loss, but I still find it nice to know what kind of engine I'm getting.
