have someone or you photoshop them diff colors so u can see what there like on your car before painting them

- Thu Dec 09, 2010 5:21 am #226870 well I broke down on my way home from work ! My car has been acting weird. I can't figure out what exactly is wrong. It hiccups while im on the freeway cruising about 80 all of a sudden the rpms drop then pop right back up. This past Monday ,also on my way home, it hiccuped then threw a CEL, rpms dropped to idle, no power when I pressed the gas, then pulled over and it shut off. I turned off the ignition and waited a couple of minutes then I cranked her back up and made it home. I wasn't that lucky today. It also "bogged" in first gear and backfired when I went thru the intersection right before she gave up on me.

Heres a pic of her on the flat bed. First time shes broken down in almost 2 years since I've had her.

You can take your old one out and resolder it and be good to go. Pretty sure we have a DIY repair for it. Alternativally for around $50 you can get a new styled one that doesn't have the same issues. Thats what I personally did.

After replacing my main fuel relay It went back to being totally reliable agian.

Thats the first thing Im going to check. Thanks for the info. Ive reading the haynes book all night trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with it and everything kept pointing back to a fuel problem.
