- Wed May 04, 2011 2:02 am #253544 updateeeee!! finished the sanding in the engine bay and finally repainted it with better flat black paint not the 96 cent can stuff. lettin her dry tonight will post pics tomorrow. this week sanding the front clip i believe

- Sat May 07, 2011 12:59 am #254036 update- cleaned up the engine bay a tad bit more still not done but got vc back on! andd she runs soooo much better thanks to the valve adjustment diy! very glad that i did it, she doesnt smoke oil anymore :woot: she idles alot better now also. cleaned my spark plugs also i need new wires but that can wait for right now. either doing timing belt tomorrow or pulling her out to paint the front end not sure yet. finding camera and will post a pic in a few.

Personally, i say leave the vc and the intake red and black everything else.
That is what im going to do with the hatch. Aluminum strut bar and polished vc, everything else black. Except the bay which will stay red (and the header will probably stay the color it is because paint will just come off of it later anyway).

- Sat May 07, 2011 2:46 am #254082 thank ya ghs im glad its starting to look better now, the only thing im gonna probably do in the bay is finish cleaning up the hoses paint the up timing cover black get red ngk wires, and paint the mani high temp black with that 1200? paint.i want a strut bar but stuff like that is gunna have to wait a lil bit haha. i absolutely love how my vc came out. it almost perfectly matches the intake. i dont really care for the corners i got but their gonna have to work for now. might try to do some metal scrappign this weekend so i can buy a new coupe front bumper :thumb:

- Sat May 07, 2011 3:59 am #254095 thank ya ferio! and nahhh its my new cai system haha. i still gotta mask up the pass side headlight to finish painting it up like the drivers side. just put drivers side in to check fitment of wires being tucked the way i did them which worked fine :thumb: u have any idea on a time frame and how much of a PITA the timing belt water pump and tensioner will be?

but tryin to get that bolt of is a bitchhh

id say set a whole day asaide todo it
me once my bolt is off it'd prob take 20-30mins to do the wp,tb,and ten
but ive done it before
