- Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:36 pm #108930 ok so i have a d16z6 engine with stock internals... i also just bought a greddy turbo kit for it... the turbo im running is off a mitsubishi looks like an eclipse or something, im guessing its a stock 4 bamger turbo. anyways im shotting for the 200 to 190 hp range and would like to know how much boost my motor can sately run with thhis set up. if you need anymore info on my biuld just ask. i was plannin on running 7lbs of boost.. let me know what you think. thanks alot

- Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:53 pm #108934 for your HP goal, stock sleeves are fine, and you can even get away with stock internals if your engine is healthy and you get a good tune. ARP head studs are a must though

- Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:33 pm #108941 ok cool that sounds good to me. ima stay completly stock for now and upgrade internals later. i would have to guess my motor is healthy seeing as my cx eg with a z6 beat my buddies ex ek with a b16a3 swap in a quarter mile drag head to head :) i was stoked if you see any major things i nee to do this right le me know please

if you have the stock map sensor, tune it @ around 11psi(max).
that should give you 200+hp if your Z6 is healthy.
you also should use some bigger injectors and an intercooler.
