- Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:32 pm #94168 has anyone daily drived a boosted bseries with just a downpipe? im sure theres some noise. but is it super loud? like get a ticket loud? will that kill the exhaust valves if i just have a downpipe off to the side maybe with a cat delete on the end?

- Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:46 pm #94171 boosted94 did it for a while, it was quieter than my ek :lol: , the turbo acts as a muffler in a way quieting it by almost 30%. im pretty sure it doesnt hurt it much either, im sure someone else will chime in on that.

- Wed Feb 04, 2009 6:12 pm #94178 yeah i know that the turbo quiets alittle. a guy i know had a real big master power on a lsvtec and it wasnt too loud until he was 2steping. but he made a downpipe that had some bends in it. did the sound ever annoy you. would the noise be alot louder if i took out the dash and carpet. i know it will get hot though.

- Wed Feb 04, 2009 6:38 pm #94180 Um it never really annoyed me, but im at a stage where i like loud cars :D His downpipe ended right at the shifter so it resonated really bad and droowned at highway speeds but i mean if u stripped ur interior and bent a pipe for a side exit im sure it wouldnt be too bad. Personal Preference really 8)
