I am building a d16z6 turbo and am probaly going to go no higher than 15psi and also will be using vitara pistons now i am wondering will the stock rods hold up or should i do something else I am having trouble finding good priced rods and well yea just wondering if they would hold up to that kinda boost or should i hold on and wait till i get some cash since i never know what the future holds....

Well a friend near me runs 14psi daily, stock internals. Its all about the tune bud. U must have read about the ef runnin 23psi with only apr rod and head bolts. Have u looked at tuner toy rods?

If not tuner toy rods, i'd say eagles. OR if you really want, a buddy of mine runs an auto shop/machine shop, and just took a set of stock LS rods, machined like 7 thousands off each side of the rod (the end that connects to the crank) to make it fit the d16 crank, then re did the bushing in the top of the rod for the wrist pin, and now you have a strong set of stock rods.
Him with those rods, and a set of vitaras, using a GT28 tubo is making 330hp.

Everything is relative to the tune.
For not that much more you can get a set of FJT rods. Hold your 15psi all day and then what ever else you want to throw at it
