i am a noob to the tuning game, and i am looking to put together my budget for my build coming late this summer. My question is how much will i need to put in my budget for a good tune. i realize that this is an absolutely essential to running boost. i plan on boosting a b18c with rebuilt low compression internals. i have been given a ballpark of about $175 per hour from a reputable local shop. i do not know however how many hours i should expect my tune to take or what good tune should average. any help is appreciated.
one!

well it should only take a few hours. im in the same boat as you on the tune. check my post. there is like 5 diff componies to use. hondata being one of them. check my post and serch the websites for prices. and i would say to tune it, you will end up droping the car off for the day so they can do a good tune. i would think they might have to make a few adjustments on the timing.

This is really gonna change from shop to shp and tuner to tuner. Some charge flat rate some hourly. But usually 2hours if things go smooth should do you. Best bet would be to put aside a good amount of money for the tuning. Because some of the software will make yo pay for a licenses as well.
