What kind of boost were you pushing on a untuned motor?? You didnt even have a VAFC or anything???

damn

Fast, Cheap, and Reliable.... pick 2 of the 3. Sounds like you had the first 2 choices.

Any good tuner would have told you to ditch the FMU and missing link and go with a chipped ecu (neptune, crome, ectune) or hondata before they got you on a dyno.

But do share some carniage pics with us :D

Niiiice! Melted pistons. Don't remember the last time I did that one.
But to answer your question bout where to get your car tuned(and this is after you get it running again)bubba from do it dyno is the best. Sum of the cars he's tuned have broken records.

No need to lock it im done w/ arguing with people on here iv learned if you got nothing good or informative to say then its probably just bullshit and no reason to even say it.

anyways about the motor i just ran it on a FMU only hit 8k like twice when testing the blow off way.

the problem started with a oil leak + smoking out of the valve cover so i checked the old trick of takin out the dipstick tube to see if it smokes so it did. i was pretty sure i fucked a ring gland cuz i had brand new oem rings.

so i did a compression today 1 2 3 4 150 150 75 100 then wet test for the two low cylinders went to 100 and 125 so i just put a big smile on my face and said FUCK!

and mike about the psi this is why i was lagging it with the tune it was only doing about 3-4 psi cuz i had major leaks it was just because i leaned the shit out of the motor cuz for a few days i ran it with no FMU i guess thats where it all started. shit sucks im bummed. but you learn shit in life best the hard way, ill have a big new piston DIY thread going soon! lots of pics for you visual lovers time for soem JE pistons and a nice nice nice tune right after the pistons are in! doin things the more better way this time. oh and a new down pipe FTW  :woot:

Forged Vitaras are a good cheap option. I would recommend getting Forged Pistons around your OEM compression. that way you dont loose power that you have to make up by turning up your boost.

Its also good to see you are finally doing things right and Not Halfassing things together :thumb:

Vitaras only fit D series though... B series don't have a nice cheap option like the D series do with the Vitaras, that I know of.

idk why but iv been feeling so tempted to boost a F series. that would be kinda interesting i have not yet seen a integra with a F series.. pretty low compression motors
