#80756 What kind of power goals do you have in mind? Are you just looking for a kit that you can bolt up to the stock motor and go? Those are the questions you'll need to answer first.

#80782 well there is a manifold i remember seeing that would allow such a thing but your best bet would be make your own or get a buddy too but really there isnt any true cheap turbo kit at all.....just ones that are cheaply made and will cost you in the long run but yea your best bet to keep the a/c would be to make a custom manifold that approaches the passenger side more instead of teh usual comming down right off the manifold i think that will allow you to keep your a/c though running your intercooler piping will be interesting....or you dont need to run a intercooler lol just wont get a large power gain as it would with cooler air......

#80814 Now a days turbo kits with log manifolds are made so you can keep your a/c.

#80844 The cheap kits like the Greddy are cheap because they lack components. Or eBay generic kits where the welds crack and the pipes don't fit properly.

When someone says they want something cheap you know it's going to end up bad. Might as well shop for your turbo kit at the swap meet or down in Tijuana.

#80859 i have a stock 93 Cx... D15b8. on another thread i was told i could swap a D16z6 head and IM, get the full exhaust, and the air intake. that alone should give me a couple horses and the only thing really would be wiring up the Vtech... now i kno i could run maybe 7-8psi on the stock motor. but what could i run if i did all this... and what would be a good cheap set up? anything on that sight? cause i dont know everything i would need to get to build my own. sorry for all the questions at once  im goin crazy tryin to understand it all before a start tearing my car apart.

Look not every can roll around with a big stack of money in their pockets. If you want about 200 horses for cheap then go ebay xs power turbo kits. I know every1 hates on them for their suppose cheap quality. But hey from my experience it served me well. I only had one problem with the kit when I had it. And that was the manifold cracking. But I returned it and once I got my new one I took it to my friends shop to get a few reinforced welds and brackets on it and didn't have a problem with the set up after that. I had the turbo set up for 6 month. I gave it to my lil bro and my lil bro sold it to a friend. That kit has been passed around like the town slut but hey its still going.

You can get a complete t3/t4 kit for around $650. I think its a good cheap turbo kit to start with and have fun with.
(This is just from my experience. I can't speak for any1 else.) Am buying my next xs power turbo set up at the beginning of the year.

EDIT: and yeah I recommend you do the mini-me aswell.

#80936 if i have to i can drop atleast $1200-1300 i got the money but would just rather spend as little as possible... sense im only going for 200+ with atleast 7-8 psi id rather not spend more than i bought the car for lol... the sight posted above i think i can get pretty cheap stuff... i just dont know everything to get. they have a log manifold kit for pretty cheap then i need the charger and the intercooler.. not real sure what else though.

#80977 now i remember a thread on this as well as watching the first part of the episode of gears where he put the turbo kit on the C4 vette in the rear of the car wouldnt that work as well instead of having the muffler there have a Turbo

it would take some custom work to get the boost from all the way back there to the front of your car but itd work lol

but i mean really to be honest i wouldnt cheap out if you can drop that much in id do at least 4-500 and youll have a reliable car that is turbod with a/c

WOW! 4-5g's for a turbo kit?????? He's not building a drag car. I would understand if he was building a track only car. But just to make 200hp and have fun, that's a lil too much.

@"jtownHatch" XS turbo kits come complete with everything you need to just bolt on. And they do have log manifolds that will clear the a/c if you wish to keep it. That only fab you would have to get done would be to make the hole on the oil pan and weld the oil return fiting to the oil pan.

#80989 There's no point in doing a remote setup, we have so much room in our bays.

It would be time and money wasted.
