I'm new to the forum but not so new to honda. There's a lot of information here and a greatly organized place. But i need your help buddies. I've totaled my 02 civic ep3 and I'm about to move to the almighty EG civic sedan.
But it's AUTOMATIC. I don't have a problem with automatic infact at times I really didn't like shifting at all ( laziness kicks in in traffic and in neighborhoods)

I'm aiming to swap in a b20 and go from there but now that i'm thinking about it(though many will hate me for it) I think i'd like to keep it auto. if I can find good answers to my questions I could make the decision alot faster. My power goals are only 200+ whp and maybe more. which shouldn't be too hard. but im wondering:

Is there any auto transmission that would compliment the b20 better?
What upgrades can I do for a automatic tranny to handle boost and power? also better throttle response?
I'm not a fan of Dseries only because of the $$$ needed to get it to a stock b16 BUT do any of you know any good builds for a d series? ( and i dont just mean turbo then done i mean a actual BUILD)

Just let me know. I'm sure more thoughts will come up but i've always wanted to build a "sport sedan" modded more towards the luxary side and with enough power to say "bet you didn't see that coming"

You CAN have good automatic power. a B20/Lsvtec matched to a LS Auto Transmission(Takes least work to get into our civics) would be peppy. Type-R/Stage 1-2 Cams, Intake mani, Header, Maybe a Snail would make for some fun times in the Automatic Sport Sedan.

If you just want "fun" levels of power in your eg sedan, Just swap in a VTEC b Series and an Automatic Transmission. Want to Rape on some people at the local races as well? Give her some of the Bottle and she will catch many, MANY People by Surprise.

FAIL

Whats so "FAIL" about wanting a somewhat quick automatic. Sure it wont be as fast as a Maunaul Stickshift, However he does not want a Racer. He wants a Luxerous Civic that isn't slow.

As I Posted before, a B Seires Vtec with automatic can be quick enough for driving around town. If you wanna Race as well some nitrous will help there.

If you live in a Bigger city, you will release that Automatics are nice to drive. I dont have one as My daily however they make for a much nicer commute when you wont get over 45 anyways.

Just becouse he doesn't want to make a pure Race Focused Civic with a Built B20/vtec on 14lbs, and wants a car he can comftable take somewhere doesn't mean he "Fails"

Also, I have Scene B20vtec Automatics laydown some Rapage on the "track" A good thing about Automatics is they never, NEVER have a Misshift. Perfect shifts every time.

and it will misshift when it slips and blows up. honda auto trans... not so good.
