Looking at buying some turbo pistons and thought seeing as the block I'm building needs honing anyway why not go for bigger pistons so my first thought was 82mm nice not to big but enough for a stable setup.

After speaking with a friend he's said that if I go above 81.5mm bore I should sleeve my block, would I be able to run 82mm pistons without sleeving my block.

My power target is only 280whp on a B16a2 but want it low boost and safe

Not recommended to go over 81.5 on most blocks with stock sleeves. Going bigger size also effects the durability of the sleeves. Getting bigger pistons isnt as much helpful as just going same size piston with higher compression

Thanks may just stay with standard size then. I was looking at lowering the CR maybe as low as 8.5:1 do you think its not worth using a lower CR. The car is a daily and won't be raced very offen if so I do track laps not drag.

Too low, go with 9:1, my personal turbo build is at 10:1
