losing boost.... bad wastegate or wat?

i bought a used tial 38mm wastegate not long ago it had 5k of usage on it with a 9 psi spring in it... for a while it pushed out 9 lbs of boost in my ride nd than later on it now only pushes 5! i bought a boost controller to see if that'll help but than that made it worst now it pushes only 1 lb i check all the vacuums nd there was no leaks!... so wat do yu guys think do i have a bad wastegate or iz it sumthin else :?

where is your wastegate getting its vac from? turbo outlet? intake mani? t'd into a whole bunch of stuff??

and definitely check over all your charge pipes/couplers for leaks.

mines gettin its vac from the outlet of the turbo nd yes i ran my car thru a boost leak test no leaks anywhere not on the couplers not on the vac lines none on the turbo..... i think the spring is going bad? idk correct me if im wrong

i guess try a new spring then. they're fairly cheap and easy to replace but, i dont see how the old one could really go bad like that

If the gate was bad, it would allow the turbo to make max boost the turbo could make because it wouldnt be opening to releive pressure. Unless the diaphram is messed up. For starters, take the the wastegate off the car, and remove the allen head bolts from around the top of the gate, and pull it apart. Inspect the diaphram for tears.
