#196461 Because that's what everyone else does.... u rarely see a supercharged civic.... that's y :thumb:

My boy milk aka ikon on this fourm has one on his single cam and its "superunderestamated" cus of it... until they hear that cool whine then people r like........ :o ............ followed by the ever so comment that doesn't get old "that things cool but I would have turboed it innstead"....

JrSc are good for low to mid power range with no lag like a turbo & r good for short sprint courses like auto x/cross...

i know a friend that had a procharger, and another had a jackson with the lht kit, that i later ended up with, but anyway, both did an amazing job, and both made grea power, i personally went the turbo route, because it is what i like... but i personally like both, imo the prochager is done even less than a jackson just because of there cost....

yeah i feel ya turbo is allways a good choice. prochargers are great systems tho i think they are worth the money, but i am gonna probably go with jackson i was looking on ebay found em for like 800 bucks :thumb: . cant beat the price when your in school you know.

#196483 yea jacksons have gone down alot, and there still a high quality unit and cen be rebuilt reasonably cheap.... imo there not a bad choice... doing whats in your budget is never a bad thing....

i kinda regret getting rid of the one i had, but i traded the charger for a decently clean hatch shell that had near perfect wiring in it, and the shell came with a zex nitrous kit lol...

#196496 ya man like ikon i too have a jrsc on my sohc and that little sucker screams. i honestly would reconmend them to anyone cause they are super easy to install and hardly need tuning as compared to turbo that needs hours of extensive tuning on a dyno to be relaible. anywho that my my .02 and i have had both a greddy turbo setup and now my jrsc :thumb:

yea the shell is my dd now, i never had it on anything when i had it, i had it for about 4 months, but i got it from a friend, i was the third owner,

the first owner had it on a stock gsr teg, and never actually got to run it at all, as the car was broken into and parts were stolen off the car, he sold the charger to the boy i got it off of, he had it on a lsv, built bottom end wiith a pretty stock gsr head, head studs and not realy much of a tune... the car was nasty, but it had major belt slipping issues, but i dont think the right belt was ever gotten for it, but when the belt held it ran around 15psi, granted it had the lht water cooler setup on it too, but in a crx with the lsv and si gears you could drop 4th from a 60 roll and come in on it and it would walk the road the car also had lsd and traction bars, it probally had less than 5k on it, i liked how it felt in the crx, and i kind of regret getting rid of it, but i had no need for it really, and it went to my best friend who is going to put it on his lsv so im sure ill still get to drive it  ....

#196665 I'm a fan of superchargers myself. The sounds alone is awesome and the instant boost is awesome.

yeah the right belt is important, i have no doubt that lsv was nuttttssss. i want to only run like 8 psi untill i get more head and block work.

x2
Turbo Chargers will net you more Horsepower, but you have Turbo Lag.
If you have moderate power goals(under 250-300whp) then a Super charger should suffice and have Instantaneous Power.

When I need more power from my B20/B16 Tranny Delsol, I will go with a Super charger, For the type of driving I do (Mountain Runs, Road Course's, Auto Xross, etc) and the power goals I have, A Super Charger Setup is perfect. Instant power and I dont need or want over 250whp. You simply dont need it for the Driving I do.
