#181595 Has anyone used CHROME for tuning there civic?

#181600 I've seen CHROME wheels before, but I've only seen CROME used for tuning
It's not the best, but it's free. Fine for budget turbo builds but if you've invested thousands in your engine & turbo setup, don't cheap out when it comes to tuning.

S300 is $599 new, if you can't find a used one.
I looked for a while but ended up buying new cause there was not many used ones out there.

Tuners tend to like Hondata S300 more than CROME.

i have heard eCtune is good as well, but i have heard the aem isnt very user friendly, the one school i went to they had the aem comp. on the supra and they said it was a bitch to tune... not sure how compitent they were tho

#183012 eCtune is a copy of neptune. They are basically the same. The guy that helped develop neptune, turned around and wrote his own version and called it ectune.

S300 had a price drop about a month back. It's now $495, usually through a dealer you can get it cheaper. For a track/street car i prefur s300, for a street car, neptune. mainly do to the price difference. Our local dealer only charges 150-180 for neptune. But with the new neptune rtp, that may be a good choice for a track car as well

#183140 I had mine tuned on CROME, I love it. Has all the features you need for a street car, and it's free.

#183145 Crome is crap, along with Neptune, and Hondata. Save up the cash and go AEM. :thumb: ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS FOR BOOST!!

Really?? Why do you say this?

I only ask cause there are atleast 7 cars here that all make over 800hp and all are on hondata. My car is also on hondata. My brothers is on neptune.

#183257 I think hondata has proven it self. It's not as robust as AEM, but at almost 1/4 of the cost, is ideal for most people tuning their car for track/street use.

some tuners won't mess with chrome because it takes more patience to tune. the extra time you'll spend paying the tuner by the hour could have been spent on better software which is easier/faster to tune.
