the F22B1(SOHC Vtec) and F22B2(SOHC non-Vtec) out of the 1994-1997 Accords are good choices. the 94 and 95 should still be OBD1. They have strong iron walls and will mate up to a H22 DOHC Vtec head.

a DOHC VTEC F22B with a H2B would be Insane. Expecally in an Integra or EG. If done right they rape on almost everything.

I found 2 complete none vtec motor in craigslist. One for $300 and the other for $250.

I also found 2 f22 vtec heads in hondamarketplace. 1 for $275 complete and another for $225 missing valves.

EDIT: aight I found the f22/h22 into 92-95 civics motor mounts for $180 at streetrays.com
Man! This swap seems so far from impossible. I think I might be doing this set up real soon. The only thing I've seen that its going to cost an arm and a leg is going to be the f2b adapter plate. But everything else seems un-expensive. :D

F22B is a DOHC non-vtec... A buddy has one. came in the 92-96 preludes from Japan and Australia. Unreal hard to find info on too. Alot of the Accord boys are running this swap, its a cheap and strong upgrade for them to just by the longblock because everything bolts right up and you get the tunability of the two cams with the strength of the F series iron block. If you head swapped the H head onto the F22B to make it DOHC VTEC that'd be sweet, i'd be really interested to see the difference in the set up with the stock F non vtec head versus the H series head...

It already been done brotha.
New generation, G generation!

Taking an f23 block and mating it with an h22 head gives you the G23. Its in february issue of import tuner. Its a sick motor.

EDIT: oh and forgot to add that's its 50% cheaper to build a built G23 than a K20 and you get more power to the wheels.

I was refering to a F22B Hybrid engine, F22B block, H22 DOHC VTEC Head.
or atleast that is what I ment to say.

What you are describing is also know as a F/H23VTEC Frankenstein/Hybrid.

Link to Import Tuner Article. Honda Never made a G23. I did find this link. G23 is just what they call it. The block Clearly says F23A1.

Good Value for Money IMO. 260hp for $1,800 in parts. plus 750 for the H2B. so about 2,500. The price of a B16 swap online. :thumb:
