yes with beefier rods you will need to have the block notched for clearance. anything stronger than eagle rods will be overkill for your setup... get the eagles and put the rest of the money toward something else in your setup :thumb:

#24390 here is something you should study:

http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.html

lots of good info in there, although it is about DOHC, the concepts apply to D series too.

Also how much HP would you like from your turbo setup?

your car is manual I assume?

So are you looking to spend about ~$1500 then? If you have a limited budget, watch your shopping list because all the little things can add up fast, especially when you beef up your internals & have to pay a builder.

At this point, I'd say leave your D15 stock, get a small turbo setup(like a t25). If you really want to build up a powerful SOHC, buy a D16z6 for cheap, a tired one with high miles. Have it cleaned up & rebuilt with forged internals, new bearings etc. Do it as a side project so you can take your time and buy good parts. then when it's done, swap it in and put a bigger turbo on it. By then you'll be used to 6 lbs of boost on your D15b7 and be ready to make 300 HP on a built motor & bigger turbo.
Or just swap in a B16 and call it a day. no need to research a turbo setup or match a bunch of different components for your build.
