#198450 i was thinking just an ebay cast log manifold with a t25. just some baby boost so maybe my car can make it up a hill :P and that way i wont need to upgrade any fuel system or anything.

my motors got 138k on it and maintenance has been up to par from the factory but i recently noticed im burning some oil when im above 4k. i was thinking valve guide seals? idk.. either way i figured it would be a good idea to replace the headgasket and head bolts before hand for good measure.

i really want to keep a d series because my friends and i always build their dual cams. theres something about the d series that make me want to just build the crap out of it and show people the single cam can get the job done :thumb:

what do ya think..

#198454 high RPM oil burning could very well be valve guide seals.

ARP Head studs are always a good idea when boosting :thumb:

I would still look into upgrading the fuel system and a tune. You should never skimp on fuel management :thumb:

#198457 well, i dont even think arp makes a stud kit dor non v d series.. unfortunately. maybe just replace mine with brand new oem bolts? and i have my own romulator and chrome so the tuning isnt a problem, im just not expecting to have to max out my fuel pump and injectors.

#198484 arp dosent make an off the shelf kit for a non vtec d series off the b7/a6 platfrom... but they are very customer oriented, you may be able to contact them and they could either make you a kit of possibly have a stud the right length to fit that will work for your app., also a quick upgrade for your b7 would be to pickup a cam from a d16a6 (crx si engine) ive heard its a cheap upgrade for those engines...

on a side note, i have heard of over boosting before and that supposedly can pull the valves open causing valve to piston contact, because your boost amount is greater than the stock spring pressure... but i havent seen it first hand, ive just heard it before :?

yea floating a valve is what im trying to avoid which is why i was curious if the springs are too soft or not. and ill look into that cam. thanks guys
