#136881 what would happen if i put my turbo set up on my civic (small mitsubishi turbo) and ran 6psi with all stock ecu, injectors, map, ect???

same question but what about 4psi??

kinda curious

#136888 stock ecu, stock map, no tune = blown motor. with every turbo set up get a good tune becuase your adding more air to the motor you need to adjust the fuel levels also.

also regarding your turbo question. it realy depends on the size of your turbo, but being from a mitsu (14b guessing) they spool quickly but aren't efficient throughout the power band for a honda.

do more resarch before you boost. go ing fast is one thing but being smart about it is another

#137012 stock map + boost = boom

it's definitely a must to get tuned on ANY sort of FI, you hit any amount of boost and you will run hella lean because there is more air than fuel and will run like a raped ape for about 7 seconds :hehe:

#137233 i don't know why you would spend a bunch of money to not get it tuned. spend the extra cash.

#145095 only takes about 2-3 seconds to completly melt your pistons.....

u can prolly get away with 2 psi on a stock map.

it really depends, because i drove my stock motor, stock fuel, stock map , stock everything on a turbo for about 4 months and then he had a big turbo backfire and bent the crankshaft then put a rod thru his block..

but it varies....

put it this way :

IT CAN blow the first time you get on it, or it can blow after 6 months or hell even a year.

key is - it will blow up and its most liekly not going to last me more then 2 weeks

#145107 It is true what people say. With forced induction it is all in the tune. There is a much greater chance of error when you turbo a NA engine verse an engine built for a turbo. Every little change that you make needs to be accounted for and changed in the tune.

At the very least get a fuel controller but I am a firm believer in standalone so go that route.
