#152417 On the OBD-I B18B1, the black box is the breather chamber. It has two lines coming off it. One goes into the crankcase just about directly above the breather chamber. The other one goes through the hole in the IM where it attaches to the PCV valve and another tube goes to the IM.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking about Volvos when you said flame trap... My brother has a 1993 940 and a 1980 242GT project car. He and I are always messing on the 242GT. Also did a 5 speed swap in his 940. That was actually pretty fun.

#152420 gotta say the 242 gt is my favorite volvo and i mean volvos you would never expect the power and i had a 940se and wish it was 5spd i was told you couldnt have a 940 5spd because they only made those in europe......but yea wish i had a 242gt lol

but yea gonna grab one of those hopefully from teh junkyard soon. and the rest of the basics of the swap....my friend offered me a dc sports header with a rather large collector i just hope i can find a coupler or whatever you wanna call it so everything will work good but yea for 50 bones i think i most likely will snag that .....

#152426 Might as well rig up a catch can. I've never really understood how you would rig up a catch can on an OBD-I B18B1 because of the breather chamber... But it shouldn't be too difficult.

Only thing the 940 needs is a turbo. We have a T3/T04 and a manifold, we just need the charge piping and intercooler, but we're well on our way to 165rwhp of fury!

#161170 ok so update its been awhile lol

well i have been slowly peiceing together stuff for the bseries swap all i need now is to get the acels out of my junkyard only part really left. i got a spare dizzy lol and strange enough a brand new vent box from a 93 teg that was sent into the yard someone had convieniently taken the motor out for me and left it sitting there with the head off and such no problem all i needed was to grab that ventbox had a rubber cover over it and everything no rust what so ever woot. also got new used plugs from a newer teg that was dropped recently.

and now for the sadish news i guess i sold /traded my rims since the tires where shot and i dont have a job nor money to get new ones so i got steelies with good tires and a couple hundred. which isnt bad ummm i guess here are the last pics of the rims on my car.....
