i'm in the process of removing my dash and the damn star screw is rounded out from previous owner!

i'm wondering if i can take it out w/out removing steering wheel? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

you can easily if you drop the steering column by unbolting it from the dash frame.

the plastic between the wheel and the dash is still inbetween.. how do i go about removing that?

look on the bottom, there should be 3 or 4 recessed screws :thumb:

Once those are out the top half and the bottom half just snap together.

taking that off was a success :woot:

thanks.. now to find the bolts holding the column to the frame..

you didnt have to take that off lol

theres 4 bolt that hold the colum to the underside of the dash. well not so much the dash but the dash frame. they i belive are 12mm bolts. youll prolly need a flash light :thumb:

try not to tug on the wheel after dropping it down im not sure if it slides off the rack easy or not.

wow.. don't wanna risk it slippin of the rack! :shock:

should i just drill the damn sombitch screw out of the steering wheel and do it the old fashioned way or attempt to drop the column? cuz i'ma eventually HAVE TO deal w/ the steering wheel sometime when i wanna change it out

it's not going to slip off easily. Just unbolt it and set it down on the floor.
