you only need to do this if the pistons you have are overbore pistons, otherwise you will have to get new ones.

ya i know that but what im saying is that i have not ordered my pistons yewt and for the stock d16a6 pistons i can get standard bore or bigger ones(i forget the size) and im saying if it would be worth it power wise to get the bigger ones and bore it? also if it is worth it can i just take the cylinder sleeves to get bored or do i have to take the entire block down?

Boring isn't really a great way to get displacement. Maybe a cube here or there.

What would kick ass is if someone made a stroker crank for the D16.

Honda did that.

Although it's only another 100cc

boring .020 is a good idea for a higher mileage motor that has cylinder wall wear. then your bore will go from 75mm to 75.5mm
