4k shifting good or bad for my engine?

Well I have put a new jdm d15b vtec engine in to my car. It has all new seals and gaskets all the way around. And a rebuilt dx tranny with 1k mils on it so far. A 8lb flywheel with a stage 1 clutch. I'm still using my p06 ecu so no vtec. I have been driving this car slow and shifting at 3-4k rpms and driving around in 5th as much as I can.

I want to know if this is good or bad for my engine. I can tell from driving like this that I don't go through as much gas at all lol. :P

I would just like some imput.

You will be fine driving it like that, you need to get that ecu in though so you can make sure vtec works honda recommends to run the motor into vtec just to clean it out.

Well I got a p28 ecu last night and every thing works fine.

As for the on I have, there has to be something wrong with it.

I pugged the new ecu in and drove home with it plugged in.
